Knock, knock, knock ... Welcome to our world and to the world of ... Think carefully, because the clue is in the name ...

Still full of history, this house resembles, without mistaking it, the one that saw its birth, but also those who knew how to perceive the soul of this place and reproduce (after three years of restoration) all the charm of the "1001 nights - (read this fabulous collection of marvellous and popular tales of Persian origin)"!

Here's another clue: "Princess Amande", so nicknamed by her husband Dr. Mardrus (translator of this collection), Lucie Delarue-Mardrus, a great poetess, novelist, journalist, historian, sculptor, musician, draughtswoman... still haunts every corner of this house...

It was like a call, an aspiration, an inspiration... just like Joseph-Charles Mardrus, Nadim lived in Beirut... Just like Lucie and Joseph-Charles, and without knowing it, Muriel and Nadim discover, during their numerous stopovers, the Orient and North Africa... mutual love at first sight!

It is also a real family spirit that reigns here today... With a grandfather Edmond Duchesne, art lover and collector, owner of the main wood company in our pretty port city (Ets Duchesne) ... and a grandfather Henri Daridon, principal of the former Albert Sorel high school and author of children's stories... no pun intended,

Muriel was a good student!

Warm colours, colourful fabrics, Persian carpets, antique furniture, original earthenware, silver and nickel silver objects, stained glass windows, sculptures, master paintings, art books... All in an oriental, romantic, cosy and chic atmosphere! From one salon to the next, you will take the time to explore each atmosphere. With autumn well underway and the coolness of winter already in the air, don't miss the spectacle of the logs crackling in the fireplace.
